National Windscreens takes part in appeal to change young lives

National Windscreens hosted a fundraising day last month, in aid of Children in Need. The contact centre in Tamworth ran a fancy dress games day, where the team paid to dress up or down and took part in a duck race, raffle and quiz, all designed to raise money for Children in Need. 

National Windscreens joins the numerous companies across the UK that take part in this event each year. Thousands of people are out there making a difference and in 2019 raised a total of nearly £48 million. This amount reflects the incredible effort people have gone to; an achievement that National Windscreens is delighted to have supported. 

For over half a century, BBC Children in Need have been raising money for young people in the UK that need help. Its vision is that every child has a childhood which is safe, happy and secure and allows them the chance to reach their full potential.

Children in Need use the funds raised by the public to provide grants to projects which focus on fulfilling their vision. They currently support over 3,000 local charities and projects including those focusing on poverty and deprivation; children who have been the victims of abuse or neglect or disabled young people. The official appeal night takes place every year in November, but there’s a number of activities happening throughout the whole year.

The National Windscreens social committee commented:

“It was great to see the team go to so much effort when taking part in yet another fundraising day last month. Everybody looked brilliant in their fancy dress costumes and the games were a lot of fun.

“The final amount raised was £169.00; well done and many thanks again to all who took part.”
