National Windscreens drives ever higher standards with new key appointment

Alt text not availableNational Windscreens has announced the appointment of Tina Patel as General Counsel, joining the company from a senior legal counsel role at Barclays dealing with operational, technology and commercial contracts which included contracts for global supply.

This first in-house appointment strengthens the company from a legal point as part of the continued growth of their vehicle glass fitting and camera calibration service.

With the need for ever higher standards within the industry, Tina will be ensuring National Windscreen’s corporate activity, from contractual work to marketing materials, meets exacting requirements.

“This is a key appointment for us. Tina brings a wealth of experience with her, from negotiating commercial contracts and advising on corporate governance to managing the provision of employment legal advice. She will be working across the company ensuring all of our activities are not only meeting, but exceeding the requirements expected of us and, more importantly, our customers,” said Pete Marsden, managing director of National Windscreens.

Tina, who will be based at National Windscreens Tamworth headquarters, has previously worked and trained as a solicitor in private practice before joining West Midlands and Staffordshire Police’s in-house legal team where she advised on high-value commercial work and contracts including national police force procurements.

She then joined Barclays where she worked on commercial contracts for activities globally, from major IT and software contracts, to operational activity, before being appointed to her current role in November.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a national company that is already recognised in the industry for its class leading standards. This role is critical in making sure we continue to meet these standards, from our legal and contractual obligations, to relevant legislative and quality requirements set out by government and relevant industry organisations.”

“This underpins our drive for ever increasing quality standards within the business as we continue to grow in a highly competitive environment.”

National Windscreens has grown to 108 fitting and calibration centres throughout the UK and has completed a £2million investment in the roll out of its Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) camera calibration services. The results speak for themselves; National Windscreens has seen growth of 444% in the number of repairs or replacements completed over the past decade.
