National Windscreens secures new contract with leading fleet provider

National Windscreens is delighted to announce it has secured a new two year contract with Northgate Vehicle Hire, following a review of the automotive glass market.

As one of the UK’s top commercial vehicle hire and fleet providers, Northgate requires fast and effective windscreen repair and replacement services to prevent vehicles from being off the road for any lengthy periods of time.

National Windscreens has now worked with Northgate for over 12 years, and has developed an established reputation thanks to its service, as Ben Fawcett, Senior Buyer at Northgate explains, “The new contract tendering process has highlighted National Windscreens as a leading windscreen repair and replacement provider when compared to competitors.

“Having worked with them for the last two years, they have continued to provide us with good levels of service and offer good value for money. We required a responsive and reliable supplier to ensure minimal disruption of our flexible vehicle hire services to our many thousands of customers.”

National Windscreens prides itself on its unrivalled time to serve policy providing all customers with windscreen repair and replacement services on a ‘same day – next day’ basis. It also operates a ‘repair first’ policy - only replacing windscreens when the damage is too severe to be repaired, saving its customers replacement costs.

The new contract with Northgate will continue to focus on providing efficient windscreen repair and replacement services, through National Windscreens’ extensive network of 108 fitting centres and 800 plus mobile technicians located across the UK.

It will also provide a selective on-site fleet inspection programme to ensure Northgate vehicles are fit-for-purpose by identifying any glazing problems that have the potential to damage the windscreen.
