National Windscreens, the UK’s largest independently owned windscreen repair and replacement specialist, will be showcasing its dedicated services for brokers at BIBA 2016 - including a broker portal and innovative software that delivers right first time and a faster service.

Brokers will also be able to find out more about the company’s investment in ADAS technology which offers a seamless service for customers who can have their glass and calibration services all payable on one invoice.

The company will be on Stand B12 where brokers will be able to find out more about the company’s £1million investment programme designed to ensure it is fully equipped to meet the growing demand for camera and sensor calibration (CSC) for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assist Systems) throughout the UK.

They will also be able to find out more about the innovative ‘Partscheck’ software which has been developed by National Windscreens and shortlisted for a major insurance industry award.

Technical Manager Tim Camm said: “ADAS is developing very quickly and it is anticipated that, by 2020, more than 40% of new vehicles will have at least two types of driver assistance system.
We are investing £1million in equipping our centres with ADAS calibration tools and training staff in how to correctly use the new technology.

“The requirement for calibration to be done in workshop conditions means National Windscreens is already ahead of the curve because, unlike some of our competitors, we are firmly committed to retaining our UK wide fitting centre network as part of a business strategy that focuses on delivering excellent customer service.

“National Windscreens operates a UK network of 108 fitting centres and, on average, the UK motorist is never more than 11 miles or 20 minutes away from a National Windscreens technician, meaning they can get their windscreen fixed quickly and easily,” he added.

‘Partscheck’ has seen National Windscreens named as a finalist in the Innovation of the Year category at the Modern Claims Awards 2016 with winners due to be announced later this month.

This software correctly identifies the exact piece of replacement glass needed for a specific vehicle by simply entering the Vehicle Registration Number.

Pete Marsden, managing director for National Windscreens, explains: “This may sound simple, but when some vehicles can have up to as many as 20 different types of windscreen, expecting a motorist to know the exact replacement windscreen type they require is unrealistic in many cases.

“This software has been developed to eradicate this issue and, since it was introduced, has been running at 99.5% accuracy across over 220,000 enquiries and has reduced National Windscreens’ average ‘time to serve’ by more than five hours,” he added.

Both the ADAS investment and Partscheck ensure insurance brokers know that if they use National Windscreens, they will have happy policyholders who are far more likely to renew their existing cover than go elsewhere.

National Windscreens will also be showcasing its extensive services for insurance brokers which includes the ability to set up a Broker Account, providing access to the Broker Portal - making it as simple as possible to book windscreen repair and replacement jobs.

National Windscreens holds sole and preferred supplier status with many of the UK’s leading insurance providers and has direct billing arrangements with more than 70 of them – testimony to the outstanding service it provides to both brokers and policy holders, as demonstrated by its current NPS (customer satisfaction score) of 70.5.

Business Development Manager, Lisa Pugh, comments: “We have an established reputation for providing a high-quality service that is extremely easy for brokers to access. This year is the second time we will have exhibited at BIBA and we are very much looking forward to the opportunity to discuss our services with key decision makers from the broker sector.”
