We’re incredibly proud to celebrate an extraordinary milestone as Thomas, one of our Technicians marks 50 years with National Windscreens.
When Thomas first joined the business, the automotive world looked very different. Vehicles such as the Ford Cortina, Austin Allegro, Morris Marina, and Vauxhall Viva were common sights on UK roads, windscreens were simpler, and repairs were carried out long before ADAS cameras, sensors, and modern calibration technology became part of everyday vehicle glazing.
Over the past five decades, Thomas has seen the industry transform dramatically, from manual fitting methods and basic vehicle glass through to today’s highly technical, safety-critical repair and replacement processes supporting modern vehicle technology.
Reflecting on his milestone, Thomas said:
“What I’ve always enjoyed most is being out on the road, meeting customers, and the variety the job brings every day. The industry has changed massively over the years, but the team spirit and support within National Windscreens has always been there. I’m proud to have been part of the business for 50 years.”
And how is Thomas planning to celebrate?
“Spending time with family, raising a glass, and definitely putting my feet up for a bit!”
Reaching 50 years of service is an incredible achievement and a reflection of Thomas’s dedication, experience, and commitment to both customers and colleagues over an amazing career.
