National Windscreens hoping to win major insurance industry award

Alt text not availableNational Windscreens will be hearing tonight (April 28) whether it has been named a winner in The Modern Claims Awards 2016 – a prestigious event that recognises each and every aspect of the claims industry.

The independently-owned company is a finalist in the category for Innovation of the Year, having broken new ground in customer service improvements through the introduction of unique parts checking software. Tonight the company will find out at a ceremony being held at New Dock Hall, Leeds, whether it has taken the overall title.

Comedian Hal Cruttenden will be hosting the evening which National Windscreens are looking forward to attending.

Pete Marsden, managing director for National Windscreens, said: “As a company, we put innovation at the heart of everything we do and I am pleased this has been recognised by us being shortlisted for this national award.

“Of course, it would be the icing on the cake if we were to be named overall winners but we also realise that at such a prestigious awards ceremony we will be facing some strong competition and wish everyone success for the evening.

“Partscheck is a unique and innovative piece of software that we have developed and it is already delivering enhanced customer service, productivity improvements and cost savings by correctly identifying the exact piece of replacement glass needed for a specific vehicle by simply entering the vehicle registration number.

“This software has been developed to eradicate this issue and, Since this software  was introduced it has been running at 99.5% accuracy across over 220,000 enquiries and has reduced National Windscreens’ average ‘time to serve’ by more than five hours.

“This, coupled with the fact National Windscreens has more than 108 fitting centres throughout the UK, meaning the average driver is never more than 11 miles or 20 minutes away from a technician, ensures we provide the best possible service for customers,” he added.
