Regional Director grows green goatee for Barnardo’s

National Windscreens’ Regional Sales and Marketing Director, Martyn Bennett, will be sporting some facial hair this November, in a bid to grow a goatee in support of leading UK children’s charity Barnardo’s.

National Windscreens in the South West wanted to make a difference this Christmas and the staff were keen to bring a smile to children’s faces on Christmas Day. National Windscreens staff have pledged around 50 toys already and Martyn’s efforts form part of this wider initiative.

Martyn explains: “Barnardo’s is an amazing charity that works hard to transform the lives of vulnerable children and young people across the UK, who may not have a positive home environment. It is likely that these children will not have experienced an enjoyable Christmas, with many not even receiving a gift to open on Christmas Day.

“In my efforts to grow a goatee this November, I will be asking all supporters to purchase a toy from a compiled Amazon wish list which will then be donated to a vulnerable child this Christmas. As an additional incentive, I will dye my goatee 'Barnardo’s green' once 50 toys have been purchased!”

Founded by Thomas Barnardo in the late 1800s, Barnardo’s aims to equip and empower families to provide positive home environments for children and young people, whilst developing confidence, independence and resilience as parents and carers.

As a result, the children and young people are happier, safer and receive better care – improving their chances in achieving the best possible educational and personal outcomes in life.
