Newport’s Nova United players looking smart thanks to National Windscreens

A national firm has given its backing to Nova United Junior Football Club by kitting them out in new match day and training kits.

National Windscreens on Halesfield has sponsored the Nova United Under 11 team based in Newport as they celebrate moving up to the top division in the Telford Junior and Youth Football League. The team has now been presented with both their new football kits and also their training kits too – both sponsored by National Windscreens.

John Smallman, director of National Windscreens, said he agreed to back the team after seeing their success and hard work last season.

"Community run clubs may struggle with finances and may rely on the support of businesses like ours to support them.

“After hearing about their success last season resulting in the promotion and the hard work and enthusiasm of the volunteer coaches and manager I knew I wanted to support them,” Mr Smallman said.

“We didn’t only want to provide them with their match day kit but also their training kit so they have something to keep warm in off the pitch too.”

Elliot Rhodes, under 11 team manager said: “We were overwhelmed to receive the news that National Windscreens would sponsor us for the new season.

“And then they went that extra step and said they would sponsor kit and training clothing too which was brilliant.

“To get such a huge name on our kits has given the team a real boost and despite knowing they’ve got a tough season ahead they are ready for it."

The Nova United Under 11 team has decided to change its kit colours to incorporate the corporate colours of National Windscreens and said they love the fresh new look.

“Community and charity support is vital and is certainly a very rewarding part of running a business.

“We would like to wish the boys good luck for the season ahead,” he added.
