ERS joins forces with National Windscreens

National Windscreens is delighted to announce that it has been appointed approved vehicle glass repair and replacement supplier by specialist motor insurer ERS as of 1st January 2015.

ERS provides insurance for a wide range of vehicles including private cars, classic cars, vans, motorcycles, taxis, minibuses, fleets, haulage and agricultural vehicles, and therefore required a glazing supplier with the capability of handling a diverse array of vehicle glazing on a national scale.

ERS Commercial Manager Rob Harper who led the tender, explains why National Windscreens’ bid was successful: “National Windscreens specialism in non-standard glass provision is unrivalled and we feel they are a natural fit for ERS’ broad book of business.

“The decision has also been made in response to broker feedback. A key reason National Windscreens won the contract was that it was able to demonstrate a market leading response time and service proposition. Both are absolutely vital for our customers, especially where working vehicles being off the road can cost policyholders time and money.”

Bucking the current market trend, National Windscreens is firmly committed to its 108 UK fitting centres and also employs more than 800 mobile technicians to offer customers the widest choice possible. This approach means that on average, a UK motorist is never more than 11 miles or 20 minutes away from a National Windscreens technician – resulting in industry leading time to serve and NPS customer satisfaction scores for the independently owned company.

Rob Harper continues, “We’re very confident that we’ve selected the right partner for ERS and our customers. Their blend of a customer centric approach and service delivery, coupled with an industry renowned knowledge and understanding of non-standard glass, will allow National Windscreens to meet the everyday demands of our policyholders.

“What’s of equal importance to me is that we have listened to our Broking partners and used real life experiences and feedback as part of the overall evaluation, helping us to reach the right decision for ERS, our Brokers and our policyholders.”

National Windscreens Commercial Director Pete Marsden said: “We very much look forward to working with ERS and we’re very pleased that we were seen as the natural fit to manage the glass claims from 2015 onwards.

“We recognise that brokers are at the core of the ERS business and we eagerly await the opportunity to build on our existing relationships with many of them and deliver an enhanced customer experience.”

National Windscreens dedicated service for Insurers, backed by a commitment to maintaining the UK’s largest fitting centre network supported by over 800 mobile technicians, has been recognised with contracts with some of the UK’s largest insurance providers.
