Windscreen repair and replacement specialist, National Windscreens, will be showing why it is the vehicle glazing supplier of choice for a significant number of leading fleet operators on Stand 4E79 at the Commercial Vehicle Show taking place at the NEC in Birmingham from 14-16 April.
The independently owned company is primary supplier to 95 of the UK’s top 100 HGV fleets, as well as more than 30 car fleets in the FN50. Contracts with a number of leading companies covering the whole range of LCV, HGV’s and fleet rental businesses means that National Windscreens holds significant stocks of the most popular windscreens to ensure it consistently meets its same day / next day job completion target.
National Windscreens believes that truly excellent customer service can only be delivered through a local presence and local stock holding, as Regional Sales and Operations Manager, Simon Barron explains, “Whilst the current market trend is to reduce the number of branches and provide a solely mobile service, National Windscreens is firmly committed to its fitting centre network as they play a vital role in helping to deliver the fastest service possible to all of our customers.”
The company operates the largest UK fitting centre network in its field – with 108 centres from Redruth in Cornwall, to Elgin in Scotland supported by 800 highly skilled mobile glazing technicians. This extensive geographical spread ensures that on average a UK motorist is never more than 11 miles or 20 minutes away from a National Windscreens technician – providing an industry leading ‘time to serve’.
Simon continues, “We understand that the number one priority for all fleet operators is keeping vehicles on the road as any off road time costs money. Our fleet cover service is designed to make life as simple as possible for managers of all types of vehicle fleet.”
National Windscreens also offers a specialist glazing service for bus and coach, and plant and agricultural vehicles, utilising SUMO lifting equipment for moving the heaviest and largest screens efficiently, as well as fast curing urethane to ensure quick binding and windscreen attachment - minimising VOR time.
A ‘Repair First’ policy ensures vehicle glass is repaired rather than replaced whenever possible, but if a windscreen in a plant or agricultural vehicle does need replacing, the company’s specially trained technicians will cut and fit all flat laminated safety glass and polycarbonate on-site.
