Olympic Games 2012 Contingency Plans
March 9, 2012
National Windscreens have published their detailed contingency plan in the event that the company should experience any disruption during the 2012 Olympic Games.
The plan covers critical dates between June and September of this year and states:
“
Continuity of National Windscreens service to our customers is heavily dependant on all vehicular routes for the supply of materials to our distribution centres and branches and delivery of our end service.
It is anticipated that most visitors will use public transport to and from venues and during their stay. However, contingency plans have been prepared should vehicular routes be adversely affected.”
National Windscreens will:
- ensure that all vehicle service schedules are fully up to date
- ensure that appropriate breakdown arrangements are in place in the event of accident or breakdown
- liaise with major customers to supplement branch stocks with additional fast moving volume lines where appropriate
- liaise with suppliers and major customers to ensure compatibility with their own contingency plans
- amend staff rotas in areas most likely to be effected to ensure additional services are available at short notice
- advise customers where service disruption is experienced and keep them informed of ETA
It is anticipated that National windscreens commitment to customer services will not be affected by the extraordinary circumstances that the Games will inevitably create.
