Attending the Window to the Future conference in Dusseldorf!

National Windscreens recently attended the Window to the Future Cary Group conference in Dusseldorf. It was a chance for customers, insurers and suppliers to hear from leading experts regarding the future trends in vehicle glass, the ever-evolving safety systems, and the intricacies of glass production. Keynote speakers also gave insights into sustainability initiatives and latest developments in the electric vehicles (EVs) industry.

Ginny Buckley, CEO of Electrifying.com presented the latest news around electric vehicles (EVs), most notably, the massive growth in Chinese manufacturing of EVs and the improvements to the infrastructure in the UK. Ginny confirmed there are now 1400 Chinese EV start-ups, with around 300 of these considered to be manufacturers of noteworthy potential and are set to make inroads into the global market by undercutting the cost of western EV prices.

Cary Group speakers included:  Anders Jensen, CEO; John Bernfell, group head of sales; and Magda Klein, sustainability manager. They were supported by talks from Wolfgang Endemann of Pilkington Automotive Glass, Lars Thomsen from Hella Gutmann Group and Fabian Kellner of McKinsey & Company.
