Carly Weston, has set an industry record by being the first female glass repair and replacement specialist to achieve the GQA Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Windscreen Repair. Carly, 23, who is based at the Birmingham Branch in Aston, joined the company 12 months ago. Since then she has undergone training by experienced engineers and has acquired the skills and knowledge needed to meet the stringent NVQ standards.

Denis Reed, National Windscreens Regional Compliance Manager and Internal Verifier said: “We have been working with GQA qualifications for our Engineers for some years now, but until recently there was no formal qualification for Repair Specialists.
“When GQA advised us of this new NVQ I saw it as a natural addition to our commitment to having qualified people. We have more of our Repair Specialists working towards the qualification; however Carly’s commitment and enthusiasm has helped her become the first to complete the NVQ.”
